Video: Jack White Performs on 'The Colbert Report'

Just days after releasing his debut solo album, Blunderbuss, Jack White made an appearance on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report last night to talk about his new album and perform the track "Freedom at 21." You can watch video of the performance and interview below.
White is predicted by many chart experts to top charts on both sides of the Atlantic next week, with some estimates putting sales of Blunderbuss at 100 to 120K in the first week.
While they had two No. 1 hits in England, The White Stripes never had a No. 1 album in the U.S.
Blunderbuss is out now on Third Man Records.

On his new album, Blunderbuss, Jack White sings, "But I can't sit still/ Because I know that I will."
Being true to his words and his reputation as a work horse, White has reportedly signed on to write, produce and perform the soundtrack to Disney's upcoming adaptation of The Lone Ranger.
"Jack's an amazing songwriter with a unique style," Jerry Bruckheimer recently told Variety. "We're thrilled to hear his fresh take on the 'William Tell Overture.'"
The film will star Armie Hammer — who has perhaps the coolest Hollywood name since Rip Torn — as the Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp as Tonto.
White released his first-ever solo album, Blunderbuss, yesterday via his own Third Man Records.
This Friday, April 27, Jack White will be playing New York City's Webster Hall, an intimate show that will be live streamed and directed by actor Gary Oldman.

Jack White to Write Soundtrack for Disney's 'The Lone Ranger'

Starting May 4, Van Halen will be offering a 7" vinyl edition of "She's the Woman" free to fans who purchase their new album, A Different Kind of Truth, from participating records stores. You can find your nearest participating store here.
Released back in February, A Different Kind of Truth marks the band's first full-length studio album with singer David Lee Roth since 1984. The album sold over 187,000 copies in its first week on sale, good enough to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard charts.
The band are currently on the road in support of the album, and recently added 18 dates to their tour itinerary.
