Help Haiti's animals after Isaac; Humane Sociaty

When Tropical Storm Isaac hit this past weekend, it only made life harder in Haiti, for people and animals alike. Our team of veterinarians and emergency responders were on the ground during and immediately after the storm -- visiting affected areas, offering expertise and assisting with hands-on care of companion and working animals in need.
Over the past few days, we've come across hundreds of injured animals -- including many suffering from open wounds. See some of the animals we've helped so far -- then please make a donation to our International Disaster Fund so we can continue to provide this life-saving work.
Humane Society International is one of the only international animal welfare groups that has been on the ground in Haiti since the catastrophic earthquake in 2010 -- when we opened our veterinary clinic just outside of Port au Prince -- so we are able to provide short-term and long-term recovery work. Our team will remain in Haiti for years to come, offering help and services where it's needed most. We will continue to do everything we can to help Haiti's people and animals.
In the days and weeks ahead, the HSI team will focus its attention on helping the animals and their families affected by these disasters through offering care, supplies, food and much-needed veterinary attention. Please, make a donation to our International Disaster Fund today so that we can continue to help those in Haiti and rescue animals from emergencies everywhere.
